Matt Keightley and the team at Rosebank were tasked with transforming this space in to a slice of ‘calm in the city’ t for the client’s to both relax and entertain. What was once a dilapidated garage used for storage has been transformed in to a private hot-tub haven with bespoke iroko joinery masking the previous unsightly structure. The iroko joinery was designed to reflect the detailing of the interior design to really help provide the seamless transition from inside to outside. A dense planting scheme of bold monochromatic evergreens, stunning tree ferns at varying heights, mounds of structural pittosporum and punctuating perennials soften the transition between the outbuilding and the expanse of paving, where a stunning furniture collection for further guest and family socialising is situated. Tucked around the corner, pebble seats surround a central fire pit immersed among the planting scheme, for another intimate gathering.
